Climbing is suitable for all ages (5+) and abilities, climbing provides a low impact workout at a level specific to you. It’s also great for relieving stress as climbing requires you to focus your mind on your body movements and the route on which you are climbing. It helps to keep you in shape, distract you from the pressures of everyday life and you can have fun whilst you’re doing it! If you have never tried climbing before just book onto one of our Taster Sessions or Intro Courses.
If you are a competent climber aged 18+ you must register before using the climbing or bouldering walls. Registration is free and involves reading our conditions of use and completing a registration form declaring your basic competence and a willingness to accept responsibility for yourself and anyone you are supervising (up to two ). You will be issued with a Competent Climber an unique number, which you need to produce on all future visits. To download a registration form please click the link: Reg Form
In line with nationally recognised guidelines, Harlech & Ardudwy Leisure will allow very experienced 16-17 year olds to undertake an assessment at our discretion, and with the consent of their parents or guardians. If successful in the assessment, the applicant can use the climbing and bouldering walls in the same way as an adult climber, but they cannot supervise any novices or other under 18s.
